The Senior Strategist will lead multidisciplinary teams to create insightful, empathetic, data-driven experiences for clients and their users. Utilizing design thinking and working within an agile process, you will lead user research, conduct stakeholder requirements gathering, scan the competitive landscape and assess technical solves en route to owning product features and the roadmap that will deliver on business goals.

In this role you will focus 60% of your time on product strategy working with tech and UX leads, 30% of your time on brand/communications strategy with content strategists and 10% on account growth with account strategists.  

Located in the Mount Pleasant area of Vancouver, as part of the POWERSHiFTER team you will have access to some of the brightest minds in design, technology, strategy and data science. You will work in an environment that values people, collaborating with team members, process and performance.

Your Mission

We believe that when you start with empathy, amazing things can happen. You will storytell the value that we will create for our users and partners while leading the sprint by sprint planning towards achieving the ultimate goal.

Responsibilities

  • Work with  senior team members to conceptualize and execute strategies that will advance clients’ businesses.

  • Participate in new business pitches to showcase a great understanding of the business impacts and cultural trends of beautiful digital experiences.

  • Work closely with Tech Leads to define product requirements and features that are technically feasible and advisable.

  • Participate in competitive research, stakeholder interviews, and lead the synthesis of findings.

  • Collaborate with the Digital Science team to assure goals and strategies are data-driven.

  • Stay up to date on emerging tech and business trends to help our partners stay ahead in their categories.

  • Adjust and re-adjust the product or comms roadmap as new priorities emerge while always managing the end-result.

  • In true Agile fashion work with project managers and your team to adjust priorities and accelerate roadmaps.

  • Share acquired skills with team members through formal and informal channels.

  • Lead great work that delivers!

Requirements

  • Minimum education requirements:  Relevant Bachelor Degree. MBA or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum experience requirements:  8+ Years

  • Agency or consulting experience
