The Senior Product Designer will lead multidisciplinary teams to create insightful, empathetic, data-driven experiences for clients and their users. Utilizing design thinking and working within an agile process, you will conduct user research and testing, inform user flow journeys and content strategy, as well as contribute to product features that deliver on business goals.

You thrive in an environment where you are asked to solve hard and complex problems through simple and elegant design solutions. You love bringing a team together to craft great design across web, mobile, social and whatever channel best delivers value to the end user.

Located in the Mount Pleasant area of Vancouver, as part of the POWERSHiFTER team you will have access to some of the brightest minds in design, technology, strategy and data science. You will work in an environment that values people, collaborating with team members, process and performance.

Your Mission

We believe that when you start with empathy, amazing things can happen. You will champion this belief through the practice of design thinking and human-centred design principles (HCD) on both client and internal work.

Responsibilities

  • Work with  senior team members to conceptualize and execute designs that will advance clients’ businesses.

  • Participate in new business pitches to showcase great design thinking and understanding of the business impacts of great experience design.

  • Participate in research, stakeholder interviews, and lead the synthesis of findings.

  • Develop research-backed personas and connect all design to human needs.

  • Collaborate with the Digital Science team to assure design decisions are data-driven.

  • Stay up to date on the latest UX and design trends and requirements for all current and emerging formats of digital UX design.

  • Guide the design team to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.

  • Actively contribute to internal programs and knowledge sharing.

  • In true Agile fashion work with project managers and your team to adjust priorities and accelerate roadmaps.

  • Share acquired skills with team members through formal and informal channels.

  • Create great work that delivers!

Requirements

  • Minimum education requirements:  Relevant Bachelor Degree

  • Minimum experience requirements:  8+ Years

  • Agency or consulting experience
